Don't Overlook the Firefighters Endorsement

When the firefighters union announced its endorsement of the Lunsford-Stumbo ticket in the governor's race on Monday, it marked a significant sign of momentum for the campaign.

Support from working families is strong and growing, as voters are responding to the Lunsford-Stumbo message of real change and real leadership. It shows in the polls and in the many appearances on the campaign trail, where Democrats have responded in big numbers and come out to meet Bruce and Greg to talk about the issues.

If you were reading the papers today, you wouldn't know about the firefighters' endorsement because of Jonathan Miller's withdrawal from the race. In a statement, Bruce applauded Jonathan for his service.

From hosting barbeques all across the state to engaging voters in an online chat, Bruce and Greg have been doing what it takes to win back the Governor's office for the Democrats.

That's something that Bruce is uniquely positioned to do. Bruce has the organization and resources to defeat the well-financed Republicans in the fall. Bruce appeals to crossover voters that is necessary to win statewide
elections.

Bruce and Greg hosted a fish fry in London last night, a twist on the Bluegrass Barbeques. More than 200 people came out to talk to Bruce and Greg about their ideas and plans for Kentucky.

Tonight, they are hosting a barbeque in Maysville. Click HERE for details.

Bruce has said repeatedly that his focus, even during the primary, is to unseat Ernie Fletcher and the Republicans in November. That's the way to get Kentucky back on track.

With Bruce, you get a different kind of leader, not a professional politician. That's what Kentucky needs to get back on track.
