Behind the Blueprint
Since the campaign started, Bruce and Greg have been touting their Blueprint for Change, promising voters something special a new vision for change in Kentucky.
The campaign has unveiled the Blueprint, along with an impressive new television commercial and a new page on the campaign website. Today theres a conference call with reporters, and it will be the hot topic at tonights Bluegrass Barbecue in Ashland.
The 32-page document is worth reading. It outlines the candidates ideas for universal health care coverage, improving Kentucky schools and building a strong economy. Next week, copies will be mailed to 350,000 registered Democratic voters.
In the upcoming weeks, Bruce and Greg will be working hard to bring the message to every Kentucky voter, appearing at Bluegrass Barbecues throughout the state and talking about it in the media. And of course, as Bruce announced earlier, the campaign is committed to continuing to air television commercials through the primary.
While the campaigns momentum is bringing gratifying results, Bruce and Greg are continuing to work hard on the campaign trail. Now, with the Blueprint for Change, the campaign will be able to focus more clearly on the issues important to Kentuckians.
"It is important for you to know what we believe in and how we plan to move Kentucky forward. Professional politicians are quick to make campaign promises, but then never deliver. That's not how we do things. We want you to hold us accountable," Bruce says. "Health care and education costs are spiraling out of control and Kentucky continues to fall behind in job creation, economic development and opportunity. It is time we have a leader with a track record of success; someone who will get the job done."
