North Star: Lunsford Takes Campaign Home
On Thursday, the Lunsford-Stumbo became the first gubernatorial slate to set up shop in northern Kentucky, as Bruce Lunsford made a claim on his home region in the May 22 Democratic primary.
In a story in the Kentucky Enquirer, Bruce said, We put an office up here with every intention" of carrying Northern Kentucky. Bruce was raised on a tobacco farm in nearby Piner, in Kenton County.
Bruce and Greg spent much of the day in the area. Bruce taped a segment for this weeks cable television show, On The Record with Pat Crowley in which he discussed his plans for change in Kentucky government. Bruce talked about his core issues: health care, education and jobs. But he also engaged in discussions of lighter topics, such as the NCAA basketball tournament.
You can see the show in northern Kentucky on Insight Cable channel 6, beginning Saturday at 2:30, 7:00 and 10:00.
Greg attended a dinner hosted by Campbell County Democratic Party, where he met with voters and talked about the Campaign for Change.
