Hoops Heaven Lets Get it Started
When the Louisville Cardinals open the NCAA Tournament in Rupp Arena Thursday, the May 22 primary will be far from the minds of most Democratic voters. Or gubernatorial candidates, for that matter.
Bruce and Gregs Blueprint for Change may not help the Cats and Cardinals win, but it does address the Commonwealths real problems, such as education, health care and job creation. While the games are on, Bruce and Greg will be glued to the TV. The rest of the time, theyre talking to voters about their plan.
Bruce is a lifelong fan of the University of Kentucky, where he went to college. He's also a good friend of University of Louisville coach Rick Pitino. Bruce attends as many UK and U of L basketball games as possible. While Bruce is rooting for the Wildcats and Cardinals to make it to the Final Four, his staff made him pick with his head and not his heart.
Greg is a lifelong basketball fan and a graduate of both UK, where he went to college, and U of L, where he went to law school. Greg seems to have gone more with his heart, picking Eastern Kentucky University to upset #1 seed North Carolina, and picking Louisville to advance to the Final Four.
Both Bruce and Greg, like thousands of Kentuckians, submitted their NCAA bracket selections this week. But in the end, the running mates came to the same conclusion Florida is the team most likely to get it done and will win the title for the second year.
